It’s the battle cry U.S. soldiers fighting the Battle of San Jacinto shouted to rally their troops and ultimately maintain Texas independence from Mexico. The Alamo is a major attraction here in San Antonio; it is a symbol of inspiration and determination, of fighting for what you believe in. It’s apropos for the way Harvey | Harvey-Cleary approaches our work too.
Getting Started in San Antonio
The Harvey San Antonio office has come a long way since opening in 2008. We followed a long-time client here to build the Tesoro campus and have been growing our presence ever since. In a city that could be called the biggest small town in Texas, reputation is everything. We proved ourselves and our reputation and portfolio grew. How? By delivering on our values – quality, integrity, and innovation.
Hotel Emma
At Harvey, we believe the way a building is constructed is essential to its greatness. Hotel Emma is a prime example. Located in the restored and renovated Pearl Brewery, built in 1894, the hotel and its larger development, the Pearl district, are credited with sparking San Antonio’s revival. Harvey worked closely with the visionaries behind the project and the designers who gave that vision form. Together we ensured the detailed beauty of the project became reality.
The finished quality of the hotel is unsurpassed in San Antonio; Hotel Emma is one of only three AAA five-diamond hotels in the state of Texas. Subsequent to the Hotel Emma opening, Harvey -Cleary was awarded additional renovations and ground up hospitality projects like La Cantera Resort and Spa and JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort.
Our Dedicated Team
Integrity, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. We strive to deliver integrity through all our actions, starting with our earliest project conversations. Regardless of scale, Harvey assigns one dedicated team to each project for the entire duration. We have a full-time superintendent on every project. We take full responsibility for project outcomes. USAA initially hired Harvey in 2008 for work on their campus. Because of our high level of service and quality of work, we continue to work there to this day.
We Thrive on Difficult Projects
Clients rely on us for budget and schedule assurance of course, but they also look to Harvey when projects have atypical demands. Cybersecurity is a growing industry in San Antonio and the building requirements are straight out of a Mission Impossible movie. SCIF (sensitive compartmented information facility) rooms, sound- and radar-imperviousness, extra site and air surveillance during construction, military inspections, and extended-duration operational testing before occupancy – Harvey has the technical expertise to address all the complex demands of these type of ultra-high cybersecurity facilities. These projects are difficult and we thrive on them; it’s one more opportunity to push our team.
