The project is situated on a 3.45-acre site, consisting of two four-story office buildings, a future restaurant buildout on level 1 of Building A, and a six-story precast parking garage.
The Market District project is part of the effort to redevelop Robert Mueller Municipal Airport into a mixed-use development. Market District is a grocery store-anchored site with multiple retail buildings, including over 13 acres of site development. Market District incorporated urban living and green development into the master plan of the retail shopping center. The projects green building initiatives included electric car charging stations, bike lanes to the site, site drainage that utilizes surface rainwater and natural filtering through vegetated areas. In addition, features such as the “Rain Garden”, created a natural setting for outdoor relaxation with extensive landscape & hardscape upgrades to enhance the natural state. The overall result was an effective incorporation of redeveloped urban living with a retail site development project and smart growth.
