Dan began his construction career at eight years old, pushing a broom on residential and retail construction projects for his father. After serving in the United States Navy, he worked on residential projects as a Superintendent as well as an Estimator for a K-12 general contractor while completing his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at the University of Houston. Following graduation, he joined Harvey Cleary and has built a long-term career specializing in corporate interior projects. 

Dan loves the construction industry because the work is tangible and rewarding; in addition, you get the opportunity to work with great project teams and clients to solve challenging issues and bring ideas to fruition. Dan is passionate about building upon the legacy of Harvey Cleary through the industry leaders he helps develop to the groundbreaking projects he completes. He is active in multiple industry organizations such as IIDA, CoreNet, Central Houston and TAID. Dan also volunteers for We Care and serves as the President of the University of Houston Construction Management Industry Advisory Board. 

Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, playing cornhole, and spending time with industry partners, and friends. Dan’s favorite place to get away and relax is his family’s ranch in the piney woods of East Texas. 

What’s the best advice Dan can give someone?

“Do not lose focus on giving everything your best effort, and the rest will take care of itself.”
