Covenant House Texas

The new 104,000 SF building for Covenant House Texas significantly enhances the capacity to provide a safe haven for an additional 50% of youth experiencing homelessness in our community. This four-story structure features a combination of a Cast-in-Place Podium and Load Bearing Metal Stud Framework, elegantly enclosed by brick veneer, glass, and metal panels.

The interior buildout houses 62 transitional living units, alongside over 50,000 SF dedicated to administrative spaces, meeting rooms, educational facilities, health and fitness areas, faith-based spaces, and dining facilities. The project is designed to effectively utilize the full city block, incorporating R-Tanks for subsurface detention to manage stormwater efficiently. Additionally, the site includes ample parking, a steel-framed basketball pavilion, and thoughtfully landscaped areas, creating a welcoming environment for the youth it serves.
