Methodist Research Institute

The Methodist Hospital Research Institute is a landmark transitional research facility in the Texas Medical Center that takes a multi-disciplinary approach to change the face of medicine. The building houses high-end teaching and administrative support space; BSL–2 wet research laboratories; an animal vivarium; the MITIE physician training center complete with MRIs, CTs, four operating rooms, and eighteen surgical device training suites; BSL–3 and ABSL–3 laboratories; and large and small bore imaging via 3.0T, 7.0T, 9.4T and 11.7T MRI’s, as well as BSL–3 MRI, SPECT/CT and PET all supported by a fully functional cGMP suite and cyclotron.
