The City of Austin Public Training Facility includes a 50,000 SF building with offices, classrooms and a gymnasium. On the rest of the property, a driving track for vehicle training, a two-story burn building for the Fire Department, and a fully enclosed 50-yard pistol range were constructed. There is also an Urban Disaster Village for all the First Response Departments to train as a team to simulate real-life situations.
