The Methodist Hospital Research Institute is a landmark transitional research facility in the Texas Medical Center which takes a multidisciplinary approach to changing the face of medicine. The building houses high-end teaching and administrative support space; BSL-2 wet research laboratories; an animal vivarium; the MITIE physician training center complete with MRI's, CT's, four operating rooms, and 18 surgical device training suites; BSL-3 and ABSL-3 laboratories; and large and small bore imaging via 3.0T, 7.0T, 9.4T and 11.7T MRI's, as well as BSL-3 MRI, SPECT/CT and PET all supported by a fully functional cGMP suite and cyclotron.
