This project included a 74,000 SF Border Patrol Station in McAllen, Texas that houses a detention and processing facility and new offices and training areas for the Border Patrol Agents. The training area includes a gymnasium, men's and women's locker rooms, and training areas with rubber flooring and mirrored walls. The site includes over 500,000 SF of agent and staff parking, with covered parking to protect up to 800 Border Patrol Vehicles. The facility also has a 17-bay Vehicle Maintenance Building onsite with a Fueling Station and Car Wash. This project also includes high-end intrusion detection and cutting edge security provisions, including blast resistant windows. This is the first LEED project south of San Antonio.
