Seven-story precast concrete garage sits on Main Street in Downtown Houston
This project was awarded LEED Gold and is a consolidation of lease space in One and Two Shell Plaza. The renovation includes demolition of all finishes and most of the MEP systems of 38 floors plus some miscellaneous areas. The build-out includes 33 office floors, three conference center floors, medical space, a learning center, auditorium and a 23,000 square foot fitness center. Our scope included all project security, data cabling, demountable walls, audio/visual equipment, graphics and fitness equipment. The fitness center includes a 15,000 square foot raised spring isolated concrete slab, 4,000 square feet of raised access flooring and 22-foot long motorized Mechoshades. We are currently 85% complete and have diverted/recycled 86% of all 31,080 cubic yards of rubbish and materials on the project.
This project includes 171,605 square feet of demountable walls, 268 cubic yards of concrete, 135,000 square feet of wood veneer, 142 miles of sound masking speaker cabling, 993 miles of CAT6 cabling, 7,760 employee lockers, 4,710 gallons of paint, and 105,000 light bulbs.
